Privacy Policy
Slither Software (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates www.slithersoftware.com and related software products and services. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit our websites, contact us, or use our products.
Who we are
Slither Software builds bespoke software for Australian businesses. Contact: dev@slithersoftware.com.
Information we collect
- Contact details you provide (for example name, email address, phone number, and message content when you email us or submit a form).
- Technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, and pages viewed, collected through hosting, analytics, and security logs.
- Account and product data when you use a Slither product under a customer agreement (handled under that product’s terms and any client contract).
Data from Meta and Google
Some of our products connect to advertising accounts a client already owns. When a client authorises one, we receive from that platform: an access token, which we store encrypted; the identifiers of the ad account and Facebook Page they chose; the permissions granted; and what those accounts report — campaign and ad set names, their status and budgets, and daily figures such as spend, impressions, clicks and reach.
We use it for one thing: showing that client their own advertising inside their panel, and applying the changes they ask for. We do not sell it, we do not combine it with another client’s, and we do not build a profile of anybody from it. Performance figures are kept for a rolling period so a panel can show history; the rest is held for as long as the connection exists.
A client can disconnect a platform from their panel at any time. That revokes our access on the platform’s side and deletes the token and the cached figures. See Data Deletion for what that removes, and for how to have everything removed.
How we use information
- To respond to enquiries and provide support
- To operate, secure, and improve our websites and products
- To measure site performance (for example analytics and ads tags)
- To meet legal, accounting, and security obligations
Cookies and analytics
Our sites may use cookies or similar technologies, including analytics and advertising tags, to understand traffic and improve the experience. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers who help us host, operate, or secure our services (for example hosting, email, and analytics providers), and when required by law.
Requests from public authorities
If a public authority asks us for personal information, we review the request to confirm it is lawful and properly made, and we challenge requests we consider unlawful or overbroad. When we do disclose, we disclose only the minimum information the request lawfully requires. We keep a record of each request, our response, and the reasoning behind it. Unless we are legally prevented from doing so, we tell the affected client.
Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against misuse, loss, and unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required by law or a customer agreement.
Your rights
Depending on applicable Australian privacy law, you may request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you. You may also ask us to delete it — Data Deletion sets out both routes, the one you can action yourself from your panel and the one that removes the account entirely. Contact us at dev@slithersoftware.com.
Children
Our marketing sites and business products are not directed at children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do.
