Data Deletion

Last updated: 8 September 2026

Slither Software builds marketing tools that connect to advertising accounts our clients already own — on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and on Google. This page explains what we hold as a result, and how to have it removed.

What we hold

When you connect an advertising account to a Slither panel, we store the access token that connection produced, encrypted, along with the identifiers of the ad account and Page you chose and the permissions that were granted. We also keep a copy of what those accounts report: campaign and ad set names, their status and budgets, and daily performance figures such as spend, impressions, clicks and reach. Images and videos you upload to build an ad are stored until the ad is published.

We do not receive your Facebook profile, your friends, your messages or anything else about you as a person. The connection covers advertising assets only.

Disconnecting an advertising account

In your panel, open Marketing, then Connections, then Disconnect on the provider you want to remove. This happens immediately and takes three things with it: we ask Meta (or Google) to revoke the grant on their side, we delete our copy of the token and the permissions it carried, and we drop the figures cached from that source.

Your campaigns are not touched. They live in your own ad account, they keep running, and you keep managing them wherever you managed them before. Disconnecting removes our access, not your advertising.

Deleting everything

To have the whole account removed rather than one connection, email dev@slithersoftware.com from the address the account is registered to, and say that you want your data deleted. We will confirm once it is done, normally within a few working days and in any case within 30 days.

Deletion removes:

  • every stored performance figure and the campaign cache
  • the connected advertising accounts, their tokens and their encryption keys
  • the user accounts and access keys belonging to the panel
  • images and videos uploaded to the panel, deleted from disk
  • the account record itself

One trace survives, deliberately: a line in our server log recording that an account of that name was deleted, on that date. It contains no personal information and exists so that a deletion can be evidenced later.

What we cannot delete

Ads created through a Slither panel exist in your own Meta or Google ad account, not in ours. Deleting your data here does not remove them, and we would not want it to — they are yours. Removing an ad is done in Meta Ads Manager or Google Ads, or by asking us before you disconnect. The same applies to anything Meta or Google keep on their own systems, which is governed by their policies rather than ours.
